So who am I?
I’m a lover of beauty, and books, and chocolate,
and mysteries, and Star Trek, and my family and friends, and flowers, and burbling water, and fabric, and Chardonnay, and purple, and Penn State,
and coffee. Definitely coffee.
I’m someone who is willing to feel the fear...
and do it anyway – as exemplified by me
in a kayak in water where I can’t see the bottom
(and yes, I wrote a sermon about it!)

I am a fierce and
proud ally of the
LGBTQA community.

I grew up in a military family, traveling the country and the world, before settling in Phoenix for the later half of my youth. We returned “home” to central Pennsylvania during my junior year of high school, where I have spent the majority of my adult years.
Growing up as a proud “brat” of my Air Force pilot dad was an experience only understood by other “brats.” Constant change was the norm, as was being exposed to other cultures and languages, in a variety of states and countries. I believe it prepared me for a life of being open to change, acceptance, and an appreciation for the beliefs and lifestyles of others.
Having a medically challenging childhood also helped to foster compassion for those who looked, and felt, different, and a low tolerance for bullies and cruelty in any form.

After a painful first marriage that ended in my late twenties, I met and fell in love with my husband, Ken, who jumped in with both feet when he married into a ready-made family of me and my three very young children. Through our over three decades of life and love together, I have given and received patience, tenderness, “passionate discussions”, support, and so much more. We have laughed and cried together, sang and danced together, cooked and cleaned together, fought and made up together. Through all of the inevitable ups and downs of any long-term relationship, I remain grateful for his presence in my life, and would choose him again, and again.

My children and grandchildren have been, and continue to be, my greatest teachers, sources of joy and sorrow, always in my heart and on my mind.
Personally, as I’ve aged, and healed, and integrated all of my “parts,” I have learned to embrace my differentness, my weirdness, and am grateful to be sharing this journey with others who embrace theirs.
Professionally, I felt an early call to ministry, but couldn’t reconcile the Jesus I felt in my heart with “you’re going to hell if you don’t believe in Jesus.” I had experienced too much love and wisdom from those whose beliefs were different from mine to believe that they could be going to hell, or if there was even such a thing as hell. When I found Unity, and the New Thought movement, I resonated with the focus on Jesus being the example, not the exception. That led me to Interfaith studies, and my first ordination in 2002. I delighted in learning about the beliefs and practices of the world’s major traditions,
which deepened my commitment to my own tradition,
being a follower of the teachings and life of Jesus.

Serving Interfaith, Unity, and New Thought communities for over twenty years has deepened my appreciation, and passion, for fostering collaboration and respect between traditions. And my coaching and consulting practice has given me the opportunity to share the power of integrating our humanity and our spirituality outside of our church walls, in our lives and organizations.

I created this website to share with you some of what I’ve learned over my six-plus decades on this planet, and hope that it serves and supports you on your journey, and in your life and work. Live long and prosper, peace and long life!
